Emily Smith – Pharmacist

Emily has had over 19 years experience in community retail pharmacy both interstate and overseas. Originally from Western Australia, Emily has managed and locumed in both city and rural locations including Perth , Kojonup and Kalgoorlie in WA, Botley in southern a England and Inverness in Scotland. Emily is also a consultant pharmacist. Together with Des Lardner, Emily has developed a successful all natural mosquito insect repellent cream which we sell and make directly to the public from both Dimboola pharmacy and our health food organic shop in Horsham.

Happily settled in the Wimmera region where for the past ten years Emily has worked part time for Des and Robyn Lardner at Dimboola Pharmacy. Together with raising 3 small children, Emily enjoys cooking, music and anything to do with sport and the great outdoors.

Andrea Weidemann – Pharmacist

Andrea is a country girl, having grown up in Maryborough before going to Melbourne to do her Pharmacy degree. She moved to Ballarat, where she completed her trainee year at St John of God Hospital and then worked in a community pharmacy. She travelled extensively overseas for two years, but also worked in both Hospital and Retail Pharmacy while in the United Kingdom.

Andrea is a long-term employee of Des, having started work at Lardner’s Pharmacy in the Horsham Plaza 19 years ago. She has continued to work in a part-time capacity, between raising four children and helping out on the family farm in Rupanyup. Andrea has completed a Diploma of Medical Herbalism. She has previously been a Consultant Pharmacist, conducting Medication Reviews and has lectured nursing students at the Horsham TAFE in Pharmacology and Pharmaceutics.

As well as working in the healthcare sector, Andrea is a Board Member of the Dunmunkle Lodge Aged Care facility in Minyip and the Dunmunkle Health Services. When not transporting kids to and from sporting activities, Andrea enjoys photography, playing netball, running and socializing with friends.

Tammy Brown – Store Manager

Tammy has been in pharmacy for more than 25 years, first commencing with then Pharmacisţ Norm Russell in 1990, since this time Tammy has undertaken courses including pharmacy dispensing, leadership, mental health first aid and attended several conferences. As store manager, Tammy has accepted a high degree of responsibility ensuring the pharmacy meets its legal responsibilities and to ultimately provide the best service fir the Dimboola community. Tammy along with Jodie McDonald prepares Webster packs ( a packing system for weekly medication).

Tammy enjoys travelling, spending time with her family in Warrnambool, attending gym and loves her dog Cricket and cat Oliver.

Jody McDonald – Retail Manager

Jody has been with the pharmacy for more than 12 years and has been invaluable with her knowledge on family care having had 3 children of her own and grand daughter Bonnie. Over the time Jody has completed a leadership course and attended many conferences. Jody also assists in preparing weekly medication packs and with her team, Gae Pickert and Raylene Britten oversee the purchasing across the store. Jody’s interests include holidaying with friends, spending time with family and friends, gardening, cooking, caring for her pets, staying fit and healthy.

Gae Pickert – Retail Assistant

Gae Pickert has been in the pharmacy industry for 36 years with more than 16 years in Horsham as a dispensary technician. Interestingly the circle has turned for Gae commencing at Dimboola Pharmacy nearly 4 years ago as she grew up in Dimboola. Customers have loved reconnecting with her again. Gae is mainly pharmacy retail and tattslotto and recently received 100% when audited by an independent agency on behalf of The Lott.

Gae loves babysitting her grandson Ace and barracking for her son when he is playing basketball.

Raylene Britten – Retail Assistant

Raylene joined the team almost 3 years ago and has attended several training days/ seminars including blood pressure monitoring and infant care. Raylene has also attended a state conference and enjoys interacting with customers and being connected to the community. Raylene is married to Dennis and has two adult children. Raylene’s interests include yoga, card making and miniature horses.
